Terms for payment of services
Refund Policy
While we do our best, everyone is subject to mistakes here and there. If we make a mistake, we will do our best to make it right!
Our mobile notary fee is based on travel, not notarization. Therefore, once a notary arrives for an appointment a refund will not be provided if the person signing refuses or if the notary deems the person does not meet the requirements to have a document notarized.
You, as a Customer, will be charged a specified amount (“Service Fee”) for each Service you select to have performed through the Services and the amount of the Service Fee will be communicated to you before you confirm the Service . As noted, the amount of the Service Fee will depend on the Service in question and the responses you provide to questions we ask you about the Service, and consequently you are responsible for payment of all Service Fees, including those that are calculated based on your responses. You agree to pay the applicable Service Fee and any other fees that may accrue in relation to your use of the Services, if any. All fees and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable except as expressly provided in these Terms. All payments from you will be processed via check, credit card or third-party payment processing account on file in your Account (your “Payment Method”). You authorize Express Notary Chicago, LLC or its third-party payment processor to authorize your Payment Method for Service Fees prior to the commencement of each Service and your Payment Method will be charged after the Service you requested has been performed. All amounts referred to in these Terms, including those set forth through the Services, are stated in U.S. dollars and do not include any taxes. Express Notary Chicago, LLC has no obligation to provide refunds or credits once a notary arrives relating to any Services, but may do so atExpress Notary Chicago, LLC’s sole discretion. You acknowledge and agree that, notwithstanding the fact that Express Notary Chicago, LLC is not a party to the agreement between you and the Notary, Express Notary Chicago, LLC acts as the Notary’s payment agent for the limited purpose of accepting payments from you on behalf of the Notary.

Express Notary Chicago, LLC is not a law firm and cannot not provide legal advice to clients or accept fees for legal services. We can refer you to an Attorney if necessary. We cannot draft or advise about document content or whether your document will be accepted by authorities in other countries.
Express Notary Chicago, LLC does its best efforts to protect the client´s privacy and document confidentiality during the processing periods. However we assume no responsibility for the safety of documents during courier transit periods shipped via USPS, FEDEX, UPS, DHL or any other courier. Please note: Customs officials have the right to inspect packages if they so choose.
Express Notary Chicago, LLC will not be responsible if the documents are lost, destroyed or damaged during courier transit periods shipped via USPS, FEDEX, UPS, DHL or any other courier.
Express Notary Chicago, LLC assumes no responsibility for the contents of documents presented by the client.
The legitimacy and accuracy of documents submitted by the client is the sole responsibility of the client and their attorney. Express Notary Chicago, LLC assumes no responsibility to ensure the accuracy or content of a document submitted to our office for processing.
Once documents are submitted to Express Notary Chicago, LLC for processing this indicates the customer’s agreement with this disclaimer and expressly excludes responsibility of any kind. The client accepts and releases Express Notary Chicago, LLC of any claim of damages and court fees from the processing of the documents.
